Bergshire[]

The party are in the crowded Shenanigans when the party meet a wizard, Wizrel, who is in a barrel. Wizrel doesn't explain why he is in the barrel, just he needs to stay in the barrel full of water, and just pokes his head out of the top.

Then another wizard comes into Shenanigans, a Red Robed wizard who is confused. He has forgotten where he lives and doesn't remember his name. The party decide to help the Forgetful Mage find his home, but first decide to get some wheels for Wizrel's barrel from Cogwrench Hammerbench.

While at Cogwrench Hammerbench's shop, the party show the key to Wizrel's house and it is engraved weith the letters NK. The party find out it was made by the locksmith Neal Knight, who doesn't live in Bergshire.

The party talk with the Forgetful Magetry to get hints to where he could live. The Forgetful Mage says he lives in Drekis, down the road from the blacksmith, and that the shoreline of the town either faces north or south. The Forgetful Mage reveals the last thing he remembers is collecting the mail. The party ask to see the mail and find out that the Forgetful Mage's name is Ferris. The letter was from a cleric of a local temple, Mother Red, complaining about her hands being magically turned purple.

The party visit the Wizard Tower in town, Woghorts, but the gate-guard doesn't recognise Ferris. Darios gets into an argument with the gate-guard of the wizard tower and ends up throwing a magic missile at them before running away. The Gate-Guard casts Fear Spray, revealing he is a 10th level wizard, at the party.

The party then take a ship down to Bon' May to see if it is Ferris's hometown. During the boat trip Darios and Wizrel try to learn the spell Identify Potion S M 1  Identify Potion Range  5' AoE  1 potion Casting Time  10 minutes Duration  Instantaneous Save   Damage   Materials  1 powdered pearl with 10gp, 1 owl feather For this spell to work, the potion to be identified must be in a transparent glass container. The caster must create a clean environment in which to cast the spell. No potions or magic items may be within 30 feet of the caster during the preparation or casting. Once the area is clear, the powdered pearl is used to create a small circle on a table or other flat and clean surface. Within this circle the potion is placed. The caster uses the owl feather to make circles around the potion, which stir the fluids within. During this time, the feather begins to disintegrate and, if all is done right, falls onto the powdered pearl. When no more feather is left, the pearl/owl powder takes on a colored glow to which the potion reacts. Depending on the reaction of potion and powder, the caster can determine the type of the potion.

The caster learns the type of the potion through this spell, but only for potions they know. Part of learning this spell is also learning different common types of potions. It is possible to learn the type of a potion without knowing what that type of potion does. This mostly comes into play with rare, obscure, or unique potions.

. Darios ends up learning the spell but Wizrel fails. That night Darios streals Ferris's Sandals of Speed.

3 days into the boat trip a water troll climbs on board and attacks. Ferris fireballs the Troll to death, but also ruins the ship in the process. The crew of the ship is unhappy with the party, but decide not to get aggressive against the wizard who can cast fireball. The party go on foot the rest of the way to Bon' May.

Bon' May[]

The party arrive in Bon' May and look for the locksmith. The locksmith in Bon' May is named Neal McBeal, not Neal Knight, and doesn't recognise Ferris.

The party try some local brothels and Ferris is recognised by a Madam of the Rat Patch. Ferris pays off his overdue bill which calms down the Madam. She says Ferris was here 10 years ago with his friends for Carnival, including a noble named Lord Henry. Ferris claims Lord Henry is the lord of his town.

The party go to the town library to find out about a Lord Henry. Lord Henry Greenpasture is lord of Renkore and there was a Lord Henry Brunswikk who is lord of Darsis. The party decide to visit Renkore then Darsis to find where Ferris lives.

Renkore[]

The party get off the ship in Renkore. The party find there is no blacksmith who lives in town, and Ferris doen't live in any of the towers in town.

Ferris notices that his sandals are missing, so the party take him to a cobbler to get him new sandals, run by a foreign cobbler gnome.

The party try to visit the keep to visit Lord Henry Greenpasture, but Ferris isn't recognised there.

The party decide to go overland to Darsis next.

As the party head north, they encounter an angry Whino. Ferris instantly kills the Whino with a fireball, but it causes a brushfire. The party start to flee south from the fire, but Xixellor falls behind. Darios gives Xixellor the stolen Sandals of Speed in order to save him.

When the party eventually out run the fire, Ferris notices his missing sandals and calls Xixellor a thief. Xixellor returns the sandals, but Ferris insists that Xixellor be arrested for being a thief. Xixellor gets tied up, but after 10 minutes Ferris has forgotten why Xixellor is tied up.

Once back in Renkore, the party decide to take a ship to Darsis instead.

Darsis[]

The party arrive in Darsis. Once in Darsis they find that Lord Henry Brunswikk passed away 10 years ago and has been replaced by his daughter, Hanry Brunswikk. The go to the locksmith, and it is run by the son of Neal Knight, Gallery Knight, who doesn't recongise Ferris. Neal Knight had passed away some years ago.

The party then visit the temple and find Mother Red there. Mother Red says that Ferris's magical hat is what makes him forget things. If he takes the hat off for an hour, he will get his memories back.

After an hour Ferris, more clear headed, leads the party to his home, which isn't even a wizard tower like he previously had claimed. Inside Ferris offers to reward the party with special hats he has made. The party accept the hats, but only Wizrel puts his hat on, which makes him forget things. The party also get 60 gold each.

The creature summoned is in no way bound to the caster and will likely be frightened, angry, confused, or all at being plucked from wherever they were. It is likely that combat capable creatures will attack the caster, unless restrained by a Magic Circle spell or some other means. The creatures summoned do not necessarily have a way of communicating with the caster.

Creatures must be summoned into a habitable space. A fish could not be summoned unless there was an appropriate body of water for them to inhabit. A salt water fish could not be summoned into a fresh water tank.

The casting process is long and involved. The caster must maintain concentration the whole time, and any observers must stay out of the casters way and not distract.
