Recap[]

22nd July 1512*[]

"Various Operations Agency" (VOA) are at Cabbot Moore's tower. Daff decides he wants to go back to being a detective. Lennie is very unhappy with this, sees it as Daff abandoning them, and steals Daff's Periapt of Health. Lennie threatens Daff and Toki suggests the party takes all of Daff's stuff in the middle of the night and sneak away, but Nevets and Toki calm Lennie down and decide to give everyone an equal share of the assets - except the Periapt of Health, which Nevets and Lennie decide to give to Toki instead of returning it to Daff. This is Toki's only magic item for the entire campaign to date.

23th July 1512*[]

The party leaves the tower and heads north across The Frostlands towards Suulwikk.

In the night Daff hears the sound of the screams of a woman. Daff wakes the party and they go investigate. The are ambushed by a banshee. The banshee's wail knocks out Nevets and Lennie instantly. Toki fights as a Polar Bear as Daff heals up Nevets and Lennie.

The party eventually defeat the banshee. Toki digs up the snow to reveal a dead noble woman wearing a silver symbol of Martha and clutching a dead baby. The party decide to take the frozen remains to Suulwikk.

24th July 1512*[]

The party arrive in Suulwikk, where the guards do not even ask any questions about the dead woman and baby. The party takes the remains to the temple. The cleric takes the remains for burial and says the funeral will be tomorrow. The clerics are impressed that the party did not simply take the silver symbol of Martha for themselves.

Lennie makes peace with Daff and the two leave in amicable terms. Daff says his farewells to the party.

25th July 1512*[]

Daff leaves for Bon' Dundisyer. The party attends the funeral. Toki says some words over the grave.

The party then head northwards to Wikkthronrarenta.

29th July 1512*[]

The party arrive in Wikkthronrarenta. The party plan on capturing a rust monster and releasing it in the armory in Stoutend.

Lennie pays a historian a "retainer" of 500 gold to investigate who the banshee might have been; she tells him to return in a week or two.

Nevets visit the historian, Jean-Pierre Kyssay, a Elf over 1000 years old who is a notorious lover. Nevets offers Jean-Pierre the Periapt of Health (already given to Toki) as payment for the elf's information so that the elf can engage in more loving with less worry about STDs. The elf wisely requests to see the periapt first. After an awkward conversation with Toki, Toki relinquishes the periapt to Nevets. Nevets gives the periapt to Jean-Pierre, who provides some information about monsters in Mistrya, some history about how he and Scoria enjoyed a polymorph romance, and a map.

Toki and Lennie visit Crag the Hunter and to find out the best way to capture a Rust Monster. They impress Crag the Hunter and he provides the information for a few drinks. Lennie challenges Crag to an arm wrestling contest (to see who will pay for the drinks) and Crag wins by kicking Lennie under the table. Lennie accepts the defeat and pays 10 gold pieces for the drinks. Crag offers more advice to Lennie and Toki.

Nevets gets some jewellery and gives it to Toki as a gift (engraved necklace with sapphire) to make up for trading away the Periapt of Health. Toki is uWu and very happy (although she still wants dibs on the next magic item and Nevets tells her it depends on the item).

30th July 1512[]

The party find Crag again for more information: the weight of Rust Monsters, how to transport one in a Bag of Holding, how effective a Rust Monster would be at destroying the weapons in an Armory, and if Rust Monsters also destroy magic items made of metal (yes, they do). Crag figures out the party's plan and asks which armory that plan to destroy. The party answers indirectly by telling him it is not any armory in Drekis from which it is easy to infer the likely effect on Crag's bets concerning the outcome of the War between Drekis and Mistrya.

The party then go to the McGary household to get the false intel and to get a new member of the party. The first bit of false intel to feed the enemy general is that invisible ships will be heading down the Grand Canal to the cliffs of Muckwood, which troops will then scale to lay siege to Slagmire, forcing a war on two fronts and compelling the Mistryan general to pull troops back to defend. The second bit of false intel is that the reinforcements and ballistae at Bon' Theris are fake, which will hopefully lure Scoria into a bold attack on Bon' Theris where the skilled Drekis artillery will shred her and bring her down. Nevets requests a fiery caster (wizard or sorcerer) who is likely a criminal - not a court scholar - to accompany them on this dangerous mission into enemy territory.

If the party comes back tomorrow night the new member of the party will, likely, be there. Satisfied, for now, the party rests. Their historian retainer has sent letters to various colleagues in other cities, but has not yet been able to ascertain who the mysterious dead women is.
